Maternity Session | Starkville, MS | Alexis

You are amazing. Thank you, thank you, thank you for trusting me to take your maternity photos. You are are so brave, so bold, and so incredibly beautiful. I know you are nervous about having a little girl, that you’re scared when it comes to being her role model. To that I say that if she grows up to be half the woman you are, you will have done a phenomenal job.
Much love to you!
When Alexis told me she wanted to me to do her maternity session, I was so pumped because I knew she would be amazing to photograph. And, I was right. 😉 The week of her session (spring break mind you) was freezing. As in it got down to 29F freezing and making a pregnant momma stand outside in the cold seemed a bit like cruel and unusual punishment. Because Starkville is limited when it comes to indoor locations – particularly locations that have natural light and offer some kind of privacy, I threw out that we could do the session at my house. Graciously, Alexis agreed and I could not be more thankful she did.
I was so glad that Alexis’ husband Randy joined us for the shoot – he kept her happy and smiling the whole time. 🙂
Yeah, they are amazing.
The above image is my first favorite.
And the image below is my second favorite. I love how strong, beautiful, and yet gentle Alexis looks because that is exactly how she is.
Oh you two, thank you, thank you, thank you for letting me be your maternity photographer. I had some much fun and LOVED working with you two. I cannot wait to meet your baby girl! She’s so lucky to belong to you.
