Mississippi Museum of Art Wedding | Taylor + Josh

Taylor + Josh,

There was something so incredibly sweet about getting to be your wedding photographer. I regularly have the privilege of being able to photograph couples who are in love, but photographing you two was so much more than that. The way the two of you anticipate the actions of one another was such a delight to witness.

I hope your first few weeks of husband and wife have been nothing short of splendid.

Cheers to you both,

The weather bears mentioning. The week leading up to their wedding, the weather was cold, peaking in the low forties and getting down to the high twenties. Saturday the high was nearly eighty, and on Sunday, the temperature dropped again to the low forties. The added forecast of rain, which seemed reasonable given the gusts of wind and heavy clouds made for an interesting atmosphere. However, Taylor, who wins the award for most chill bride ever, told me to do what I wanted, wanted to take as many photos outside as possible, didn’t even bat an eyelash at it. Girl, you are awesome.

Heidi Elnora is without a doubt one of my favorite dress designers. Her work is absolutely stunning and gets me every time.

The only people who helped Taylor into her wedding dress was her mom and her two sisters. The bridesmaids first glimpse of her says it all.

And then, her dad saw her…..

Right before Taylor + Josh’s first look, they exchanged letters with one another.

I’d say Josh thought his bride looked pretty stunning.

You look nice too, Josh!

The three photos above are some of my favorite from the day.

Oh Taylor, you are truly beautiful.

Like I said, there were several gusts of wind that day…..

As the sun set, the ceremony started, and without a doubt, it was one of the most beautiful ceremonies I have ever seen. Taylor and Josh, who have been together since high school, had their youth pastor marry them under a canopy of twinkling lights.

Another favorite image.

And another….

I heard Taylor + Josh’s wedding reception described as the perfect college reunion. It was a time to dance, laugh together, and celebrate the newlyweds.

Congratulation, you two. And thank you, thank you, thank you for letting me be your wedding photographer.
